"There is no day on which Allah frees more people from the Hell Fire than the Day of Arafah. And on the day Allah draws near to the earth and by way of exhibiting His pride remarks to the Angels, "What is the desire of these (servants of mine)."

The 9th of zulihijjah will be the day of Arafah. So, boys and girls, we are encoraged to fast on this day, (for those who are not performing Haj) - tomorrow 26th November 2009, Thursday. Why?
The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said:
“Fasting the Day of ‘Arafah expiates for two years, one prior and one forthcoming.”
[Reported by Muslim, Abu Dawud, Nasa'i, and Ibn Majah]
Starting tomorrow, after performing Fajr, Zuhur, Asar, Maghrib and Isyak Prayer, we are also encouraged to bertakbir, until the 13th zulhijjah (after performing Asar prayer).
Lastly, an announcement.
All Bruneian students are invited to Cathays Community Centre on Friday (27th November 2009), at 9:00 AM (9:15 AM solat starts) for solat hari raya Haji.
